A dryer vent is a complete exhaust route, not just the short hose behind the appliance. Length, bends, crushed sections, lint buildup and a restrictive exterior hood can all reduce airflow. We clean the route with tools selected for the duct and verify that the termination opens correctly.

System options

Dryer exhaust service options

Access and duct construction determine which cleaning and repair methods are appropriate.

01

Rotary brush cleaning

Best forTypical rigid or semi-rigid residential vent routes

Flexible rods and a duct-sized brush loosen lint through the accessible route while vacuum or exterior collection controls debris.

02

Air-assisted cleaning

Best forLong runs and layouts suited to compressed-air tools

Uses directional air tools where safe and effective for the installed duct. Tool choice is adjusted to avoid damaging thin or poorly supported material.

03

Transition connector replacement

Best forCrushed, torn or excessive hose behind the dryer

Replaces accessible transition material with an approved connector and the shortest practical routing, while preserving appliance service access.

04

Exterior hood service

Best forStuck louvers, nests or damaged terminations

Cleans or replaces an accessible termination with a dryer-appropriate hood. Fine screens that trap lint are avoided where prohibited or inappropriate.

What to look for

Signs the dryer vent may be restricted

  • Clothes need more than one cycle to dry
  • The dryer or laundry room becomes unusually hot
  • Lint accumulates around the exterior hood
  • The termination flap barely opens during operation
  • The vent route has not been cleaned in a long time
What the scope can include

A complete written scope

  1. Accessible route and termination review
  2. Mechanical or air-assisted cleaning as appropriate
  3. Lint and debris collection
  4. Accessible transition connector and hood observations
  5. Before-and-after airflow observations where practical
How the work moves

Our service process

  1. Locate the dryer, route and exterior termination
  2. Disconnect or access the system as the layout requires
  3. Clean the duct with compatible tools
  4. Clear the hood and reassemble accessible connections
  5. Run the dryer and confirm visible exhaust at the termination
From selection to final review

A clear project path, with expectations in writing.

01

Inspection & documentation

We inspect accessible conditions, take measurements and document the parts of the system that shape your repair or installation options.

02

System options & written scope

You receive practical material and system choices, a defined scope of work and clear exclusions where hidden conditions may exist.

03

Contract, deposit & scheduling

Once you select your system:

  • We sign a clear, written contract
  • A 30% deposit is collected
  • We schedule your project
04

Installation & progress documentation

We protect the work area, install the approved scope and document important conditions and completed details as the project moves forward.

05

Cleanup & final inspection

We clean the property thoroughly. Most exterior construction sites are approximately 90-99% clean the same day. For qualifying multi-day masonry and exterior projects, our next-day closeout can include:

  • A final inspection
  • An additional magnetic sweep
  • Final drone photos when conditions and location allow
  • A complete quality-control review

Exact payment milestones, closeout steps and return visits are stated in the written contract for the selected project.

Service questions

Details worth understanding.

Final specifications depend on the inspected conditions, appliance listing, selected manufacturer and applicable local requirements.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?+

The interval depends on run length, dryer use, pets, bends and duct condition. Longer or heavily used systems may need service more often than short, straight routes.

Will cleaning fix every slow-drying problem?+

No. A restricted vent is common, but dryer heating, sensing, duct design and a crushed concealed section can also affect drying. We explain what the cleaning did and any remaining concerns.
